Strong Start for Mirboo North in Round One Netball Clash with Hill End

Mirboo North hit the court firing for Round One at Willow Grove, taking out five of the seven games in a great start to the 2025 season.

In A Grade, the girls came out blazing, with a dominant 75–34 win. Louie (Lynette) Patten was unstoppable, earning Best on Court, while Marley Wallace took home the Coaches Award for her efforts.

B Grade followed suit with a 59–34 win, showcasing slick teamwork. Maddi Knowles stood out as Best on Court, and Chelsea Loh impressed the coaches with her solid game.

C Grade had a tough outing, going down 21–32. Brooke Lagerwey fought hard to earn Best on Court, and Elly Hysen took the Coaches Award for her persistence and grit.

The D Grade team brought it home with a 31–22 win. Lexi Andrews was everywhere on court, earning Best on, while Alexandra Robertson bagged the Coaches Award.

The 17 & Unders put in a strong performance with a 36–26 victory. Mia O’Brien was a standout, and Imogen Nash earned praise from the bench with a well-deserved Coaches Award.

In 15 & Under, Hill End proved too strong, taking the win 46–11. Amy Conlan kept pushing and was named Best on Court, with Gemma Filtness earning the Coaches Award.

Finally, the 13 & Under squad finished the day on a high, claiming a 21–11 win. Georgie Schaeche led from the front and took Best on Court, while Maeve Stoertebecker’s efforts were recognised with the Coaches Award.
