2023 Senior Presentation Night
Mirboo North Football Netball Club held its annual senior presentation night at its Walter J Tuck Tigerland headquarters on Saturday night.
Club president, Joe Piper, thanked the club's sponsors for their strong ongoing financial support and volunteers were recognized across a vast range of services throughout the year.
In a lighter moment for the near 90-strong crowd, Mr Piper was presented with a Brisbane scarf, following the Lions' preliminary final win over his beloved Carlton — after the Blues gave up an early five-goals-to-nothing lead.
The thirds footballers and 15s netballers featured in grand finals at Morwell East, but for the first time in a long time, there were no MGFNL premierships for the mighty Tigers this year.
It was a different story in the CGJFL competition where Mirboo North's Under 10 footballers won the 2023 premiership against MDU under coach, Jasan Hysen's, expert guidance.
Simon Busuttil and Jess Holland received MNFNC life memberships, while Gemma McCormack and Brian Doherty were joint Volunteer Of The Year recipients.
Recognition Of Outstanding Service Awards were accepted by Brian McCormack and Stacey Harriage.
MNFNC's junior vote counts and presentation night took place the previous evening.
